I am very fortunate to have developed a career as a coach in a sport which I have loved doing from a young age. I started volunteering as a helper at Springbox gymnastics, which I had been attending since I was 6, whilst in my older years of secondary school when I really became interested in pursuing a career in sport. I have been at the club for around 17 years and I am now a coach at Springbox Gymnastics and have helped with the growth and development of the gymnastics club.
At college I studied Sports, Health, Fitness and Exercise Science as well as furthering my qualifications needed for a career in coaching gymnastics. Through college I was introduced to coaching gymnastics at primary schools and have since then been coaching at various schools. I now run my own before and after school recreational gymnastics clubs.
I have also worked as a multi sports coach with the coaching company SCL during the school holidays.
In 2016 I began coaching for another gymnastics company Excel Gymnastics Academy which has enabled me to work with a range of gymnastics abilities from beginners to intermediate/advanced level gymnastics.
I have also recently started working with toddler ages and helped start up a class for parents and toddlers which introduces basic skills and helps with development.
I am very passionate about gymnastics for all. I love coaching all ages and abilities and helping children to set and achieve goals. It’s also great to help some of the older children follow the path I have done and introduce them into helping out with some of the beginner classes.
On top of gymnastics I have played Rugby since the age of 12 and was lucky enough to represent the South East of England. I have done various volunteer and coaching work with rugby and have helped with coaching a girls tag rugby team for the Surrey Youth Games.
We are passionate and motivated to making the difference, and allowing all children to be the best they can be in their chosen sport. We value the importance of providing enriched opportunities that inspire and motivate both boys and girls, providing both intermediate & advanced learners pathways into broader participation, club or academy environments and future employability.
