Girls Football

One of our leading priorities is girls sport, and in particular girls football.  Whilst we recognise the differences when it comes to coaching & teaching boys & girls, the company strives to strengthen opportunities within both educational and club environments. Our team of coaches work in partnership with schools and clubs to introduce a host of exciting initiatives that will help encourage girls to take up sport and football outside of school;

  • Introduce girls specific programmes at schools
  • Support clubs with community outreach programmes to provide new opportunities for girls
  • Manage and deliver girls festivals in partnership with schools or clubs
  • Help develop girls technical training models at clubs
  • Help create pathways for girls in the game
  • Ensure the social elements and benefits are always a paramount feature

  • We recognise that many girls are not always inspired by many sports within school environments.
  • UC understands that girl’s motivations and expectations are different to boys. We feel girls drop out of football and team sports largely due to the way coaches choose to coach girls.
  • Therefore, we recognise that some girls thrive within gender specific environments, and are more likely to embrace the experience and challenges presented.
  • Girls have more intrinsic motivations and have a different perception to team sport than boys.
